The company Dr. Reiss · Elektrochemische Messtechnik · was established in 1997 and specialises in developing and manufacturing of electrochemical measuring systems for the disinfection of water. In 2000 the company changed its form of organisation into a GmbH.

The company Reiss GmbH specialises in manufacturing and sales of electrochemical measuring systems for the disinfection of water. The Managing Directors are Dr. Gerhard Reiss and Tanja Strasser. Due to the company’s expansion, Reiss GmbH moved to a new location in July 2002. As a result of the continuous increasing business the transfer to a new company building was arranged in January 2007.
This success could be continued: As a result of our expanding activities in January 2012 the new premises of our enlargedcompany building opened. This means a triplification of the previously available space.

Since 1981 Dr. Gerhard Reiss has been working in the electrochemical industry. Starting in fundamental research, he moved on to the research and development of electrochemical sensors for water treatment in 1985. He then specialised in electrochemical measuring systems for water disinfection which resulted in the development of the membrane-covered 2-electrode sensor of the product line TARAbase. 
The success of this sensor, based on its easy handling and reliability, determined the further course of the company.
With the product line TARAtec more membrane-covered systems  developed which are highly resistant to mechanical and chemical strain and can thus be applied in difficult water qualities. For special methods of measuring, potentiostatically connected 3-electrode sensors of the line TARAline are applied.

Another product line available is TARAsens. These sensors are not membrane-covered and stand out due to their resistance against pressure and temperature.

This provides a wide range of sensor types for the most various applications with different electrical connections. The following disinfectants can be measured:

In the context of the product line TARAline in the field of  sensors a new development now allows the monitoring of the absence of  (e.g. reverse osmosis).

We gladly put our expert knowledge as well as our long-term experience at our customers’ disposal, especially in problematic cases. For interested customers, training courses can be arranged.

The manufacturing of our sensors is subjected to rigorous quality inspections, i.e. during the manufacturing process, the individual components are continuously inspected. The finished sensors are subjected to a final inspection by placing them in a test water circuit for several hours. The measuring data are recorded and listed. Therefore, we can give a 24 months warrantyon each sensor (not on wearing parts). With the name of the sensor type and the serial number retraceability is guaranteed at any time.

We have documented this consequently with the ISO 9001:2015 certification of our quality management in 2016.
